Chef James Burns’ dedication to his craft and innate talent has landed him national acclaim. He has appeared on Discover Channel’s The Great Chefs of the South and Great Chefs of America cooking programs, the Food Network’s “Door Knock” Dinner Series with Gordon Elliott, and in a special feature on South Carolina Education Television (SCETV). He has been featured in numerous food related magazines and other media outlets, including Nation’s Restaurant News, Restaurants & Institutions Magazine, Restaurant Business Magazine, Delta Sky Magazine, USA Today, Southern Living, Southern Accents, Charleston Magazine, Charleston Home, The Post and Courier, and The Charleston City Paper, and J. Bistro Catering (j.b.c.) was the event caterer in a number of featured weddings in Charleston Weddings Magazine in 2002 and 2003. Burns was also invited to prepare a “Lowcountry Christmas Dinner” at the James Beard House.
